Benmo is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Wire Harness Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for manufacturing complex wire harnesses and cable assemblies for aerospace, defense, and commercial applications while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship and quality.

The successful candidate will have experience with IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards, excellent manual dexterity, and the ability to read engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Manufacture wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and electromechanical assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings and work instructions.

  • Perform wire cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering, terminating, labeling, lacing, and heat shrinking.

  • Assemble connectors from manufacturers such as Amphenol, TE Connectivity, Deutsch, Glenair, Molex, Souriau, and

    similar products.

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and assembly instructions.

  • Verify wire colors, pin locations, connector orientation, and overall workmanship.

  • Perform continuity, insulation resistance, and electrical testing as required.

  • Inspect completed assemblies for compliance with IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3 workmanship standards.

  • Identify and report manufacturing issues or discrepancies.

  • Maintain accurate production records and complete manufacturing documentation.

  • Properly care for tools, equipment, and workstations.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

  • Support prototype builds and engineering projects as needed.

  • Work effectively as part of a team to meet production schedules.

    Qualifications Required

    • Minimum 2 years of wire harness or cable assembly experience.
    • Ability to read engineering drawings and assembly documentation.
    • Experience with hand tools, crimp tools, soldering equipment, and measurement tools. • Excellent attention to detail. • Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds

  • IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certification.
    • J-STD-001 Certification.
    • Aerospace or military wire harness manufacturing experience.
    • Experience with shield terminations and coaxial cable assemblies. • Experience working in an AS9100 quality environment. • Familiarity with ITAR-controlled manufacturing.
    • Experience operating automated wire processing equipment.
    • Experience with Cirris or similar electrical test equipment.
