ABOUT LITTLE SAINT

Located in the heart of historic downtown Healdsburg, Little Saint is a vibrant meeting place where guests are invited to connect over food, music, art and conversation. Our mission is to create an environment that is good for the soul, the earth and the community. Inside our 10,000-square-foot space, Little Saint offers up a full-service farm-forward restaurant, cafe and wine shop with a focus on plant-based cuisine. The building is home to exciting live music and thought-provoking conversations, as well as a series of film screenings and performances to benefit local artists and our farming community.

WHAT’S ON YOUR PLATE

The Wine Shop Supervisor supports the day-to-day operation of the wine shop and lounge within a multi-concept hospitality environment. This role leads daily wine shop operations, delivers warm and knowledgeable guest service, supports the wine shop team through training, and shift oversight, and works closely with restaurant leadership to ensure a seamless guest experience across service areas. 

Through relationship-driven sales, and guest education, you'll help grow retail wine sales, drive Cellar Club membership enrollment, maintain an inviting and well-stocked shopping environment, and create meaningful connections between guests, producers, and the Little Saint wine program. 


WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead the daily operation of the wine shop, including opening and closing procedures, service flow, stocking, cleanliness, and presentation standards.
  • Provide day-to-day coaching, training, and shift oversight for wine shop team members while helping maintain service consistency and a strong guest experience.
  • Partner closely with the restaurant team to ensure smooth coordination between the wine shop, dining service, bar, coffee program, and events.
  • Welcome and engage guests with warmth and professionalism while offering thoughtful wine recommendations based on taste, occasion, and budget.
  • Support by-the-glass wine service and assist guests with pairings for menu items, small plates, or event offerings.
  • Guide guests through bottle selections for retail purchase while educating them on featured wines, producers, and the company’s values and hospitality standards.
  • Support restaurant wine operations related to all service when needed. (e.g., by-the-glass wine service, assisting with pairings for menu items, small plates, or event offerings). 
  • Maintain an organized, visually appealing, and fully stocked wine shop through merchandising, restocking, rotation, and display upkeep.
  • Assist with inventory counts, receiving, stock rotation, product replenishment, and ordering support as assigned.
  • Oversee efficient usage of POS systems, inventory systems, cellar organization, wine lists, and other materials related to the wine program.
  • Help monitor product security, storage organization, and compliance with responsible alcohol service requirements.
  • Support tastings, classes, private events, and other group experiences connected to the wine shop and restaurant.
  • Resolve guest concerns professionally and model a high standard of hospitality and teamwork.
  • Assist with shift readiness, daily accountability, and maintaining service, safety, and cleanliness standards.
  • Complete other duties and special projects as assigned.

WHO YOU ARE

  • 2+ years of experience in wine, beverage, hospitality, retail, or a related guest-facing environment; prior restaurant or wine retail experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of wine styles, regions, and service fundamentals; certification is a plus but not required.
  • Passion for hospitality and confidence engaging guests in a way that is friendly, polished, and approachable.
  • Able to balance retail service, floor presence, and operational follow-through in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organized, dependable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities at once.
  • Familiar with POS systems, inventory tools, and basic sales reporting.
  • Committed to teamwork, accountability, and maintaining a respectful, positive workplace culture.
  • Flexible and available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional extended hours for events or peak business periods.
  • Must meet minimum age requirements for alcohol service and comply with all applicable alcohol service laws, training, and certification requirements.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including full shifts on the floor.
  • Ability to bend, reach, twist, stoop, and lift repeatedly throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move cases, boxes, or supplies up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Manual dexterity for POS operation, stocking, opening bottles, handling glassware, and other repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to move safely through tight or shared service spaces, including stockroom.
