Job Description

As a Security Officer Hospital Area Patrol in Windsor Mill, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional in a healthcare location, you will serve as a welcoming, visible presence for patients, visitors, and staff. You will manage access, assist with visitor inquiries, monitor entry activity, and communicate security-related concerns with professionalism and care. Pay Rate: $18.54 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor access at the front desk, verify visitor credentials, issue visitor passes, and direct individuals to appropriate areas in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Maintain accurate visitor, access, and incident documentation in accordance with healthcare location requirements.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access by observing front-desk activity and reporting unusual conditions or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
