MCSE and/or MCSA certification required.The Systems Administrator will manage, build, and troubleshoot physical and virtual servers using Windows Operating Systems. Perform administrative operations and maintenance functions of server hardware and software. You will be responsible for deployment, configuration, and life cycle management of the Windows platforms. You will provide support for system hardening to DOD security standards.An understanding of DoD and government security standards and policies are needed to ensure all deployed changes are highly secure and available.Qualifications:5+ years of experience with Windows systems administration and maintenance.Hands on experience with system hardening and implementation of DISA STIGs.Ability to work with stakeholders including management and development teams in defining requirements.Capable of interpreting vulnerability reports and defining executable actions that should be taken to reduce vulnerabilities and risks with proven ability to perform in-depth analysis on patch requirements, environment migrations, and build an action plan that will address vulnerabilities.Familiarity with VMWare and SAN management and conceptsPreferred7+ years of systems administration experience working in an enterprise environment (DOD environment highly preferred).Some experience and/or familiarity with RedHat Linux operating system is highly preferred.Typical Duties/Abilities:Active Directory domain administration to include Group Policy deployment, management, and troubleshooting.Maintain system documentation and develop new documentation for system configurations, procedures, and best practices.Analyze and monitor system performance and capacity, proactively identifying and resolving issues.Validating and implementing critical system patches.Create, deploy, and administer file servers and shares for functionality in hybrid environments.Assist with network troubleshooting and resolutions on LAN and WAN connections.Assists with the scheduling, planning, and oversight of system upgrades.Assists in planning upgrades and replacements for program assets upon reaching their end-of-life cycle.Supports requirements gathering and asset acquisition for new programs of work.Supports team leadership as required and ensures customer requirements and project milestones are met.Soft SkillsExperience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Lean Startup, XP) and cross-functional teams (Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Developers, Designers, Business Analysts).Strong communication and collaboration skills with a track record of taking solution ownership.Communication skills key!
