Position Overview
MetroSys is seeking a motivated Systems Engineer I to join our Infrastructure Services team supporting enterprise environments for our clients. This role is responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and supporting Windows-based infrastructure while working closely with senior engineers on server, virtualization, cloud, backup, and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and administer Windows Server environments, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft 365.
  • Monitor and maintain enterprise infrastructure including servers, virtualization platforms, storage, and backup systems.
  • Assist with server provisioning, patch management, system upgrades, and infrastructure lifecycle activities.
  • Perform routine health checks, preventive maintenance, and operational monitoring.
  • Troubleshoot server, operating system, virtualization, and infrastructure issues while escalating complex incidents as needed.
  • Support backup operations, disaster recovery testing, and business continuity initiatives.
  • Participate in vulnerability remediation, security hardening, and infrastructure compliance activities.
  • Maintain technical documentation, system configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with networking, security, cloud, and service desk teams to resolve infrastructure issues.
  • Participate in after-hours maintenance windows and on-call support as required.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience supporting Windows Server environments or enterprise infrastructure.
  • Experience with:
    • Microsoft Windows Server
    • Active Directory
    • DNS and DHCP
    • Microsoft 365
    • VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V
    • Backup and recovery technologies
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting and infrastructure monitoring tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications
