Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and resolution of complex Server OS related issues to ensure optimal performance and availability of Windows Servers.
  • Upgrade outdated servers to 2016, 2019, and 2022 versions to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Utilize extensive vSphere Operations experience to effectively manage and maintain our virtualization environment. Familiarity and experience with OVF Templates for efficient deployment is required.
  • Utilize GitLab and Operating System pipelines for template creation, ensuring streamlined and efficient deployment processes.
  • Moderate background in SCCM/ConfigMgr with experience in application/package creation and deployment. Experience in Software Update Group (SUG) creation and deployment is necessary.
  • Setup, manage, and deploy monthly patching for Windows Server 2012-2022, ensuring systems are up-to-date and secure.
  • Perform IAVA remediation and STIG hardening on OS Server builds.
  • Complete Incident and Change Request tickets utilizing ServiceNow.
  • Develop and deliver documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for both new personnel as well as Operations staff to utilize for troubleshooting purposes.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution of security products such as HBSS, Nessus Agent (ACAS), and Carbon Black.


Qualifications:


Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of related experience


Required Skills:

  • Strong experience in Windows Server administration, including operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Group Policies (GPOs) and Active Directory (ADUC) with experience in other Microsoft server administration tools.
  • Background/experience in PowerShell in order to automate tasks a plus.
  • Proficiency in upgrading servers to 2016, 2019, and 2022 versions, with a focus on compliancy requirements.
  • Extensive knowledge of vSphere Operations, including management and deployment using OVF Templates.
  • Experience with GitLab and Operating System pipelines for template creation is highly desirable.
  • Moderate background in SCCM/ConfigMgr, including application/package creation and deployment, as well as Software Update Group (SUG) creation and deployment.
