Position Summary
We are seeking a fulltime Systems Engineer to install, upgrade, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments while resolving complex technical issues. This position may be performed in a hybrid, remote, or in-person capacity; however, candidates must be currently located within the state of Michigan.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee development and maintenance of systems
  • Analyze and make recommendations regarding technical direction by identifying client needs
  • Translate between clients’ needs and the actual applications
  • Ensure system security standards are implemented
  • Windows Server deployment
  • M365 support and deployment
  • Oversee maintenance of backup solutions
 
Qualifications
  • 2+ years’ experience working in an information technology setting (MSP experience preferred) 
  • Proven experience of Microsoft Windows Server, including SQL Server
  • Proven experience with working in a virtualization environment. (Hyper-V, VMware, Azure)
  • Disaster recovery experience and strong understanding of security, threat detection, prevention and remediation
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and initiatives
  • Ability to seek supplementary knowledge and understanding of systems support
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues outside of your knowledgebase
  • Demonstrate problem solving strategies and practical knowledge
  • Ability to work effectively with clients
  • Proficient in IT security
  • Proficient in backup technologies and concepts surrounding backups including replication
  • Experience working with and managing a workload which is distributed across multiple teams and departments
  • M365 experience, including migration, setup, and management
