Job description

Great news! Schillings is currently looking for a Retail Salesperson with an emphasis in Windows & Doors at our Saint John, IN location. This position is full-time with opportunities for advancement and offers excellent benefits. A typical schedule would be Monday through Saturday with a day off during the week. No Sundays or late evenings!

Responsibilities:

  • Build relationships with walk-in customers to enhance sales opportunities
  • Communicate with Purchasing on any needs for special products
  • Responsible for accurately estimating building products
  • Investigate and answer complex questions and inquiries within the framework of the sales function
  • Regularly work to develop relationships over time that will provide significant input to planning strategies
  • Occasionally serve as a team member on special projects
  • Collect, analyze, and report sales data and information (quotes, estimates, bids)
  • Be innovative and provide suggestions for improvement across the company
  • Plan how to establish and maintain major account relationships and meet personal sales targets within the full line of products or combination of products
  • Provided training, guidance, and assistance in Windows & Doors
  • Build sales and meet sales goals

Education/Required Skills:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient scoring on all candidate testing
  • Knowledge of all aspects and uses of construction materials
  • Persuasive and people-orientated
