What You’ll Do :

This is an in-home, commission-based outside sales role focused on residential window replacement. If you’ve sold roofing, siding, home remodeling, HVAC, solar, or other home improvement solutions, your experience will translate well here!

  • Conduct professional in-home sales presentations for window replacement and home improvement solutions
  • Build trust with homeowners across Detroit and surrounding metro areas
  • Recommend customized solutions based on customer needs and budgets
  • Manage the full sales process from presentation to close and follow-up
  • Deliver a best-in-class customer experience
Important Michigan Licensing Requirement:

Michigan law requires sales professionals who sell or earn commission on residential home improvement work to hold a Michigan Salesperson License.

  • Candidates must already have an active salesperson license OR be willing and able to obtain one within 90 days of starting.
  • Active licenses may be transferred between employers and do not require retesting.
  • Either way, we'll cover your license expenses!

 

Role Expectations:
  • No cold calling - we provide pre-set, high-quality appointments
  • Travel to customer homes (may require driving up to 80+ miles one way)
  • Deliver engaging presentations, provide written estimates, and complete documentation
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and guide customers through financing and next steps
  • Flexibility for evening and weekend appointments to match homeowner availability
Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of customer-facing sales experience
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
  • Ability and willingness to obtain or maintain a Michigan Residential Salesperson License within 90 days of start, if not already actively licensed
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • 1+ years in outside, commissioned, or in-home sales
  • Comfortable using iPad-based applications
  • Competitive, goal-oriented, and resilient under pressure
  • Proven ability to exceed performance targets

Earning Potential:
Successful first-year Sales Reps at Window Nation have the potential to earn up to $100,000 annually, with top performers exceeding that!
 
Limited-Time Sign-On Bonus (Through June 29, 2026 Start Date):
  • $5,000 total (less applicable taxes and withholdings)
  • Available to external sales hires who start in either the May 4 or May 18, 2026 training class
  • $2,500 paid after 3 months of continuous employment
  • $2,500 paid after 6 months of continuous employment
  • Bonus subject to repayment if employment ends before required service milestones are met; full terms provided in offer letter
First 90 Days: 
  • Earn commissions plus guaranteed training pay of up to $2,700/month while you ramp up and learn our proven sales process
After 90 Days: 
100% commission with UNCAPPED earning potential - your effort directly drives your paycheck
On-Target Earnings (100% Commission):
  • First 12 month Average (ramp-up year): $90k–$130k 
  • Fully ramped-up average performers: $130k–$190k
