Job description

A Window & Door Fabricator cuts, assembles, and finishes aluminum frame components into completed window and door units using shop floor machinery, working accurately from technical drawings and job orders. They are competent in IGU fitting, weathersealing, and hardware installation, with a sound understanding of Cal/OSHA shop floor safety requirements.

Job Description

Summary/Objective: A Window & Door Fabricator is committed to producing quality window and door units by cutting, assembling, and finishing aluminum fenestration products to exact specifications. The Fabricator seeks to contribute precision craftsmanship and a team-focused work ethic on the shop floor.

Essential Functions:

  • Fasten frame components to produce window and door frames
  • Fit and install glazing units, gaskets, seals, and weather strips into fabricated frames
  • Install hardware including handles, hinges, locking mechanisms
  • Assemble and square frames, ensuring correct tolerances and alignment throughout
  • Operate routing, drilling, and crimping machinery in accordance with production schedules
  • Inspect finished units against job sheets, technical drawings, and customer specifications
  • Carry out visual and dimensional checks at each stage of fabrication
  • Identify and report defects, non-conformances, or material issues to the supervisor
  • Maintain accurate production records and labelling of completed units
  • Work as part of a production team to meet daily output targets and delivery schedules
  • Communicate effectively with team leaders, supervisors, and colleagues

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Ability to read and work from technical drawings and work orders
  • Practical experience operating workshop machinery (saws, routers, welders, crimpers)
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work

Appropriate PPE will be provided. This job operates out of the plant in Corona, CA.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This role is mainly executed on the plant floor. The employee will be exposed to heavy machinery, moving equipment, and varying temperature conditions. The noise level in the work environment may eventually be loud. PPE must be worn in designated areas. No travel is expected for this position.
