The Role We are experiencing fast growth and are searching for a junior and experienced carpenter/framer to join our team! Sunvalley Constructions values dedication, a positive attitude and attention to detail in our employees and we are looking for new team members who value the same. Applicants must have a valid driver’s licence and their own hand tools. A zoom-boom is on site. In this role, you will be expected to have a working knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment used in carpentry and framing. Your responsibilities will include the following; • Install foundations and floor beams, lay subfloors, build and install walls, install trusses and roof sheathing • Shape or cut materials to specified measurements using hand tools, machines, or power saws. • Understand how to read blueprints, sketches, or building plans • Understand customer expectations • Undertake finishing tasks including window installation. • Follows established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment. • Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground levels. • Moves necessary materials around jobsite as assigned. • Clean up worksite debris. The Successful Applicant To be successful in these roles, you are be a team player with strong communication skills, detail orientated, reliable, dedicated to safety all times and fit to undertake physically demanding tasks.
