What does a window and door subcontractor do?

A Window and Door Subcontractor specializes in the installation, repair, and replacement of windows and doors for residential or commercial construction projects. They work under contract for general contractors, builders, or directly with homeowners, ensuring that all window and door products are installed according to manufacturer specifications and local building codes. Their work includes measuring openings, preparing the site, fitting and securing products, and ensuring proper insulation and weatherproofing. Subcontractors may also be responsible for removing old units and providing finishing touches like trim or sealing. They play a crucial role in improving energy efficiency, security, and the overall appearance of a building.

These skills ensure precise installations, safety, and customer satisfaction in a competitive construction environment.
