Job description

Glen Raven is recruiting for a Machine Operator- Spinning Winding Machine, which will operate the link spinning/winder machine according to the operator training manual and safety standards. This position adds value to Glen Raven by their commitment to achieve the highest level of production, quality and safety as well as teamwork by ensuring that the process runs efficiently in order to prepare the fiber for the doubling machine.

**This is a Night shift position 7pm - 7am with a 2-2-3 schedule, with a pay rate of $20.42 per hour**

Responsibilities:

  • Repair roving breaks
  • Creel roving bobbins
  • Change lots or yarn counts
  • Remove laps or chokes from machines
  • Repair or clean Marco-Polo Track
  • Start spinning frame
  • Creel roving bobbins
  • Remove piece bobbins from Marco-Polo Track
  • Piece up or repair ends
  • Repair or replace grippers
  • Replace cut rollers
  • Repair top apron
  • Start winder cones
  • Doff bad packages
  • Repair bobbins at by-pass line
