DescriptionEmory Healthcare is seeking an Informatics Pharmacist who will focus on the Omnicell automated dispensing cabinet platform and its integration with the Epic Willow Inpatient module to synchronize medication orders, patient profiles, and inventory data.  This individual will perform Omnicell and related Epic system builds, implementation, testing, and maintenance, aligned to optimizing pharmacy medication workflows.   RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Build, test, and maintenance of Omnicell system and Epic's Willow Inpatient module with workstreams focused on automated dispensing cabinets
  • Build, test, and maintain omnicell formulary database and interface mapping
  • Identify and resolve issues identified with pharmacy related systems in a timely manner.
  • Develop, test, and implement system upgrades.
  • Develop training material and train end users on new functionality.
  • Design, build, and test reports to support clinical and operational initiatives.
  • Occasional Weekends or evenings may be required depending on project implementations.
  • On call coverage required.
  • Occasional travel for go-lives may be required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Epic Willow Inpatient certification
  • Direct experience with either Omnicell or Pyxis automated dispensing cabinet administrator functions
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy (BS or PharmD Degree), and hold an active, unencumbered state licensure issued by the Board of Pharmacy.
  • Two years hospital pharmacy experience or PGY2 Pharmacy Informatics Residency.
  • Completion of an accredited PGY1 Residency and a PGY2 Pharmacy Informatics Residency is preferred.
  • Previous experience working in an academic medical center environment preferred.
  • Epic Analyst experience is preferred.
