Job Description:
Krieger Ford is hiring a Wholesale Parts Sales Representative to join our Parts Department. This is a hybrid position that combines wholesale automotive parts sales, outside customer relationship building, and parts counter support. The ideal candidate will have experience in automotive parts, dealership parts departments, wholesale parts sales, outside sales, or customer service and will be comfortable working with both internal and external customers. The Wholesale Parts Sales Representative will help grow Krieger Ford’s wholesale parts business by building and maintaining strong relationships with independent repair shops, body shops, fleet companies, commercial accounts, government and municipal customers, and other businesses that rely on quality automotive parts and dependable service. This role will also support daily parts counter operations by assisting walk-in customers, answering parts calls, looking up parts, quoting pricing, checking availability, and helping ensure orders are accurate and completed in a timely manner. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with some Saturdays as needed from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Closed Sundays. What You’ll Do As a Wholesale Parts Sales Representative, you will be responsible for supporting the Parts Department while helping expand Krieger Ford’s wholesale customer base. Build and maintain relationships with wholesale parts customers, including independent repair facilities, body shops, fleet accounts, commercial customers, government accounts, and municipal accounts. Develop new wholesale parts business through outside sales calls, customer visits, follow-up, and account management. Promote Krieger Ford’s Parts Department and represent the dealership professionally during customer interactions and outside sales visits. Assist customers with automotive parts, Ford parts, OEM parts, pricing, availability, and order status. Answer inbound parts calls and provide accurate parts information, quotes, and follow-up. Assist walk-in customers and internal dealership departments with parts needs. Use electronic parts catalogs, Ford parts systems, dealership software, and internet-based tools to accurately identify and locate parts. Serve as a reliable point of contact for wholesale customers from order placement through delivery. Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, service advisors, technicians, and team members. Review body shop estimates to help verify correct parts and pricing. Pull and fill parts orders from inventory as needed. Help maintain parts inventory accuracy through bin checks and inventory review. Notify the Parts Manager of out-of-stock parts, fast-moving parts, or materials that need attention. Locate out-of-stock parts from outside vendors or submit emergency orders when needed. Ensure internal parts requests are billed correctly to service repair orders. Provide a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers.
Job Requirement:What We’re Looking For We are looking for someone who is dependable, customer-focused, sales-minded, and comfortable working in a fast-paced dealership parts environment. Previous automotive parts experience preferred. Previous dealership parts department experience preferred. Previous wholesale parts sales or outside sales experience preferred. Ford parts or OEM parts experience is a plus. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to build and maintain professional customer relationships. Sales-minded approach with the ability to grow wholesale accounts. Basic computer skills and the ability to learn dealership systems. Ability to read and understand electronic parts catalogs. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-focused mindset. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Willingness to complete a background check and drug screen. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the Parts Department. Ability to lift at least 25 pounds. Ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time. Ability to drive to customer locations as needed for outside sales visits.
