Keep Our Community Running Smoothlyโ€”One Fix at a Time!

Are you the person everyone calls when something needs fixing? Do you enjoy solving problems, working with your hands, and taking pride in a job well done? If so, WhiteStone wants you on our team!

For over 100 years, WhiteStone has been more than just a workplaceโ€”we're a vibrant senior living community where residents feel at home and employees make a real difference every day. We're looking for a Maintenance Mechanic I who can help keep our campus safe, comfortable, and running at its best.

What You'll Be Doing

No two days are exactly alike! You'll be the behind-the-scenes hero who helps keep our residents' homes and community spaces in top shape.

Your day may include:

  • Troubleshooting and repairing plumbing, electrical, lighting, doors, locks, appliances, and other building systems.
  • Responding to maintenance requests and emergency repair calls with professionalism and urgency.
  • Assisting with HVAC equipment resets and basic repairs to keep residents comfortable year-round.
  • Completing work orders accurately and efficiently while documenting completed repairs.
  • Working alongside fellow maintenance team members on special projects and campus improvements.
  • Helping maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies needed to get the job done.
  • Participating in scheduled on-call rotations and responding when needed.
  • Contributing to a beautiful, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

At WhiteStone, every employee plays a role in creating an exceptional resident experience. We believe in:

  • Greeting everyone with a smile.
  • Treating residents, guests, and coworkers with respect.
  • Anticipating needs and providing outstanding service.
  • Taking pride in our work and attention to detail.
  • Creating a positive and welcoming community for all.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience in general building maintenance, apartment maintenance, facilities maintenance, or commercial maintenance.
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, flooring, appliances, and HVAC.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Dependable, flexible, and able to work independently.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • A team player who enjoys helping others.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1โ€“2 years of maintenance, facilities, apartment, or construction-related experience preferred.
  • HVAC experience or knowledge strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements

This is a hands-on role that involves:

  • Lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Walking, climbing ladders, bending, pushing, and pulling throughout the day.
  • Working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
  • Exposure to maintenance-related materials, tools, and equipment.
Why WhiteStone?

For over a century, WhiteStone has built a reputation for excellence by investing in both residents and employees. When you join our team, you'll become part of a supportive workplace where your skills matter, your contributions are valued, and every day brings new opportunities to make a difference.

If you're ready to put your maintenance skills to work in a community that truly appreciates what you do, we'd love to meet you!
