Position Purpose

Provide mechanical and technical support to customers regarding commissioning, installation, inspection, maintenance, service, repair, rebuild and upgrades for all types of blast equipment.   

Job Functions

  • Install new Wheelabrator equipment, ensuring it's properly configured and integrated with existing systems at customer’s site. 
  • Perform regular maintenance checks on equipment to prevent issues and ensure optimal performance. 
  • When equipment malfunctions, diagnose the problem, determine the appropriate solution, and make necessary mechanical repairs or replacements. 
  • Provide technical training, guidance and support to customers, explaining how to use and maintain equipment and grow the customer relationship. 
  • Document all service activities, including repairs, maintenance, and customer interactions as needed.
  • Ability to comply with all Norican’s Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements and other applicable federal, state, and local EHS requirements.
  • Supervise projects and contractors as needed.
  • Complete continuous education and certifications to maintain up to date technical knowledge of equipment lines.

Qualifications & Experience

 

  • Educational Background:  High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Experience: Three to seven years related experience.
  • Certificates and Licenses: Valid Driver's License with good driving record; Forklift Driving Certified.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook); Willingness to train and learn the AX ERP system.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Mechanical, PLC, Pneumatic and Hydraulic knowledge and aptitude required.
    • Welding, burning, brazing, soldering, fabrication, and mechanical.
    • Operate Crane, Man Lift, and Scissor Lift
    • Must be proficient in blueprint reading and interpretation along with an understanding of basic Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) terminology.
