Job description

Description:Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Apply wet paint coatings to metal parts using spray guns and related painting equipment.
  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, masking, and sanding parts to ensure proper paint adhesion and finish quality.
  • Mix and prepare paints, thinners, and coatings according to specifications.
  • Load, unload, hang, and remove parts from carts, racks, and conveyors.
  • Operate paint booths, curing ovens, and associated paint equipment.
  • Use forklifts, hoists, and other material-handling equipment to move parts and materials.
  • Inspect painted parts for defects such as runs, sags, thin coverage, or contamination.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of paint equipment and booths.
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  • Knowledge of wet paint systems, coatings, and application techniques.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures related to paints, solvents, and hazardous materials.
  • Experience operating spray equipment, paint booths, and curing ovens.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, paint specifications, and safety data sheets (SDS).
  • Ability to identify and correct quality and safety issues.
