Job description

Associate Veterinarian Opportunity

The world has changed, so we've reimagined what it looks like to be a full-time veterinarian.

At Heart of Chelsea Veterinary Group, we believe exceptional veterinary care begins with genuine connection. Our West Village team takes the time to understand each pet's personality, history, health needs, and the goals that matter most to their family. Since Heart of Chelsea was founded in 1999, our goal has remained the same: provide thorough, compassionate medicine while creating the kind of personalized experience that makes both pets and their people feel comfortable and cared for.

We are looking for an Associate Veterinarian to join our West Village team. This is an opportunity for a veterinarian who values thoughtful medicine, strong client relationships, and a collaborative approach to patient care.

Why Heart of Chelsea – West Village?

Our West Village hospital provides comprehensive care for dogs and cats, including wellness care, sick visits, advanced dentistry, laboratory testing, radiology and ultrasound, surgery, internal medicine, pet travel certificates, and emergency care during regular business hours. Our team is committed to providing the care pets need to live healthy, happy lives while keeping their families informed and involved throughout the process.

What makes the West Village location particularly special is the experience we create around that medicine. We provide personalized attention based on each pet's unique personality, health, and daily routine, along with kind, transparent communication that keeps clients involved every step of the way. Our thoughtfully designed setting is intended to help pets feel relaxed and make every visit a positive experience.

As part of Heart of Chelsea Veterinary Group, you'll also have access to a larger network of veterinary professionals committed to excellent medicine, ongoing learning, and professional development. The organization was founded by Dr. Marc Siebert in 1999, and its leadership continues to emphasize mentoring doctors, leaders, and team members while creating opportunities for veterinarians to grow.

Our Location

West Village is one of New York City's most recognizable neighborhoods, and 544 Hudson Street puts you right in the middle of it. Walk the tree-lined streets of the West Village, explore Hudson River Park, grab dinner at one of the neighborhood's many restaurants, or enjoy everything nearby Greenwich Village and the Meatpacking District have to offer. It's an ideal setting for a veterinarian who wants the energy and convenience of Manhattan right outside the hospital.

Our Culture

At Heart of Chelsea, exceptional care begins with genuine connection. Our team focuses on making clients feel welcome, respected, and well cared for while creating a comfortable, low-stress environment for their pets. We work together with pet owners to develop personalized care plans based on real solutions rather than simply treating symptoms. Across the broader Heart of Chelsea team, ongoing learning and mentorship are also important parts of the culture, giving veterinarians opportunities to continue developing their clinical and professional skills.

Our Technology

Heart of Chelsea combines comprehensive primary care with advanced diagnostics and treatment. Our hospitals offer digital radiology, ultrasound, in-house laboratory testing, surgery, advanced dentistry, and internal medicine. The group also coordinates with specialists for services including echocardiograms and comprehensive abdominal ultrasounds, with echocardiograms performed and reviewed by a board-certified cardiologist.

Current Clinic Hours:

Monday: 8:00am – 6:00pm | Tuesday - Wednesday: 10:00am – 6:00pm | Thursday: 8:00am – 6:00pm | Friday: 10:00am – 6:00pm | Saturday & Sunday: Closed

Email suzanne.blair.burtner@suveto.com or make an appointment for a confidential conversation about this opportunity here.

Our Comprehensive Benefits Package Includes:
  • Generous salary, commensurate with experience
  • Production Earnings
  • No Negative Accrual or non-compete
  • Flexible Scheduling and generous PTO (Paid Time Off)
  • Granted equity via Suveto's Veterinary Stock Ownership Plan (VSOP®)
