Job description

Affinity Home Care, located within Laurel Parc at Bethany just north of the Beaverton-Hillsboro area, seeks a compassionate Caregiver to join the Affinity Home Care team! Affinity Home Care proudly provides quality, personalized in-home care services to clients in Portland, Beaverton, Hillsboro and other surrounding cities. The successful candidate will provide assistance in and from the client's own home, such as with light housekeeping, running errands, taking clients to appointments, preparing meals, dressing, and providing medication reminders. Affinity Home Care goes to extraordinary lengths to create an environment where clients receive the ultimate level of service where they can enjoy life to the fullest. *Commuting within a 60 min. radius to clients - REQUIRED

Schedule: Must be able to work weekends. All shifts available

Pay: $21.00 - $21.50 per hour

Shift: On-call and Part-time

Main Responsibilities

  • Provides general attention to residents' needs.
  • Documents all Activities of Daily Living for each resident.
  • Provides companionship and observes to ensure safety and to report condition changes.
  • Completes light housekeeping tasks.
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding residents and the care.
  • Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance.
  • Displays excellent communication and remains calm and courteous under pressure.

Qualifications

  • Passion working with seniors + 6 months experience preferred!
  • Completion of paid pre-employment trainings- provided during onboarding.
  • Must obtain current CPR/1st Aid training (employer provided) & Oregon Food Handlers Permit
  • Must be able to work weekends and have some schedule flexibility

Physical Demands

  • Lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds

Language Requirement

All team members must have the basic abilitytouse computer/smart phone applications for training and company system purposes. Employees must also be able to comprehend writtendocuments suchasworkorders,safetyrules,instructions,policies, and procedures. Also required is the ability of employees to speak and communicate effectively with clients, coworkers and management.
