Location:- Spring Texas (On-Site)
Job Type:- Long Term Contract

Need Only Local to Houston, TX - No relocation
Responsibilities:
The Well Construction and Operations (WCO) capability team in UIT delivers solutions for the Wells business, including well planning, design, and operations. Work involves requirements gathering, execution and deployment of new functionality; while providing operational support (troubleshooting, testing, enhancements, bug fixes, application renewals, addressing technical debt, etc.) for existing solutions. The primary application being supported is WellView. The successful candidate that fills this position will have the skills to communicate with business and vendor representatives, support technical applications, and be familiar with the multiple tools and processes in EMIT to support effectively (S&C, software packaging, etc.).
  1. Foundational knowledge of the Wellview Application and it's associated associated Data Model / Database
  2. Foundational knowledge of how to perform administrative functions of the WellView application, including but not limited too:
  • UDL & Picklist Management
  • Data Loaders
  • Queries
  • Profiles / Profile Management (including Access Management)
  • Batch reports. Single & Multi-reports, ability to develop new reports, ability to troubleshoot issues with reports, ability to improve reports
  • Basic technical troubleshooting and resolution of end user application AND underlying server / database technical compute resources
  • Audit rule management / ability to develop new data audits with a data auditing product (Spotlight, WLR, Peloton Allez auditor, etc.)
  1. SQL / T-SQL knowledge for query writing and data management. Job functions requiring T-SQL include but are not limited to:
  • Data analysis
  • Mass data updates
  • Data recovery (e.g. after accidental deletion)
  • Divestments and Acquisitions (data handover)
  1. Microsoft Azure knowledge (skills typically associated/aligned with a DevOps Engineer role). Functions requiring these skills include but are not limited to:
  • Infrastructure as a service (servers, databases, Azure resources)
  • Monitoring capabilities
  • Deployment pipelines to promote changes between environments
  • Troubleshooting functions for Infrastructure as a Service (example how to troubleshoot a VM, how to restart services, how to debug and look for errors)
