Full Time (80 hours/pay period)
Days
Mon through Fri - 10 hours a day = 4 work days, 6:45a-5:15p
There could be an option for 8-hour shifts, per management approval
General Summary
Performs routine and specialized diagnostic and technical radiographic procedures at an advanced skill level in an outpatient setting.
Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Performs radiographic examinations, obtains patient history, explains routine procedures, and addresses patient concerns.
  • Oversees the work of other personnel and demonstrates leadership and delegation skills by training, allocating and monitoring work. Performs work of a similar nature.
  • Schedules cases to coordinate with other patient examinations.
  • Able to master complex operating room procedures as well as fluoroscopic and overhead procedures and more complex portable exams if applicable to the location of outpatient center.
  • Positions and transfers patients safely and comfortably and explains basic and complex procedures.
  • Immobilizes patients as necessary and practices radiation safety procedures.
  • Evaluates recorded images for technical quality; consistently maintains a repeat rate under 5%.
  • Assists in inventory control and ordering supplies.
  • Evaluates workflows and processes, suggests 4Cs through LDMS, assists in 4C and Standard work creation, facilitates huddles in supervisor's absence.
  • Properly processes images using digital technology; resolves problems in the PACS and EHR systems, demonstrates knowledge of the EMR on a Super User level; paying close attention to detail with minimal exam code errors and assists in correcting exams and canceling orders.
  • Consistently creates a positive patient experience and work environment.
  • Audit quality control monitoring on a monthly basis and report discrepancies to Team Leader
  • Involved in at least 2 projects including but not limited to: equipment QA (monthly, quarterly testing), creating standards of work, engagement committee.
  • Becomes proficient in optional cross-trained skills (site specific) of EKGs, phlebotomy, mammography and dexa (if applicable to the site)

Minimum Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED Required

Work Experience:
  • 5 years Progressive responsibility in a diagnostic imaging department Required

Licenses:
  • Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
  • Registered Technologist-Cardiac Interventional Radiology - ARRT Upon Hire Required or
  • Registered Technologist-Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology - ARRT Upon Hire Required or
  • Registered Technologist-Radiation Therapy - ARRT Upon Hire Required or
  • Registered Technologist-Radiography - ARRT Upon Hire Required or
  • Registered Technologist-Vascular Interventional Radiology - ARRT Upon Hire Required

Courses and Training:
  • Accredited program in radiologic technology. Upon Hire Required
