What is a wellness teacher?

Wellness teachers are educators who focus on promoting physical, mental, and emotional well-being among students. They design and lead classes or programs that cover topics like nutrition, physical activity, stress management, mindfulness, and healthy lifestyle habits. Their goal is to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to maintain a healthy and balanced life. Wellness teachers often work in schools, community centers, or wellness facilities, adapting their lessons to the needs of their audience.

How does a wellness teacher typically collaborate with other staff and departments in a school setting?

These partnerships help ensure that wellness education aligns with school policies and meets the diverse needs of students. Regular team meetings and interdisciplinary projects are common ways Wellness Teachers stay connected with other staff members.
