Job description

Summary:
The Therapist Intern develops, coordinates, and facilitates all direct social services to patients and their families assigned and performs duties as directed by their manager. The Therapist Intern could work in an acute care setting that includes inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services.Job Duties & Responsibilities:Per program description and in partnership with your university, this internship may include duties of cognitive behavioral therapies in addition to social services. Specific details of the experience will be developed by Rogers in collaboration with your university and may include the following:
  • Provide social services to patients and their families/significant others.
  • Complete all documentation within required time.
  • Complete discharge documentation as required and on time.
  • Provide leadership and guidance in the implementation of clinical interventions.
  • Communicate professionally and accurately.
  • Demonstrate strong interdisciplinary approach, facilitating effective communication among.
  • Participate in site committees.
  • Provide for patient safety and the safety of the facility.

Additional Job Description:

Education/Training Requirements:
  • Completed Bachelor's Degree and enrolled in an Master's Degree program in Social Work, Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
  • Working knowledge of therapeutic intervention and techniques for all age groups, as well as the dynamics of human growth and behavior.
  • Successful completion of all Rogers onboarding training coursework is required prior to start.
  • Formal training in the management of the aggressive patient (NCI) is required within sixty (60) days of date of placement. Annual re-certification is required and will be provided.
  • Successful completion of pre-placement background checks through the Rogers system are required.
  • Successful occupational health clearance from your provider is required.
