Job description

The Director of Wellness plays a key leadership role in overseeing and coordinating the care needs of Assisted Living residents. Working collaboratively with the Wellness team, Health Center staff, and Resident Review Committee, this position ensures the delivery of high-quality care, promotes resident well-being, and upholds the highest standards of service.

** Full-Time, Monday–Friday ** Must be available for weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed

** Salary Range: $100,000 – $120,000 (based on experience)

Key responsibilities include but may not be limited to:

Leadership & Team Management

  • Provide administrative oversight of Assisted Living staff
  • Plan, assign, and direct daily work activities
  • Resolve employee concerns and operational challenges

Operations & Resident Care

  • Ensure compliance with all Assisted Living regulatory requirements
  • Conduct regular community rounds to monitor care and service quality
  • Participate in resident assessments and ongoing care evaluations

Staffing & Training

  • Develop and manage staff schedules to meet service standards and budget
  • Support onboarding and training for new hires
  • Lead monthly in-service trainings and ongoing staff development

Resident Experience & Engagement

  • Monitor resident satisfaction and implement improvements
  • Promote a positive environment that supports resident satisfaction and quality of life
  • Assist in marketing services to prospective residents and families

What you need to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience; includes at least 2 years in long-term care or acute care and at least 1 year in a supervisory role
  • Active RN, LVN, or LPN license in California
  • Current CPR certification
  • RCFE Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire)
  • Valid California Driver's License
  • Experience in Resident assessment and care planning practices
