Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to determine clients' mental health needs, laying the groundwork for tailored and effective treatment planning.
  • Provide evidence-based therapy services, adapting approaches to suit individuals, groups, and families, addressing an array of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief.
  • Work closely with case managers, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care, sharing insights and strategies to achieve holistic outcomes for clients.
  • Deliver crisis intervention support to clients facing acute mental health crises, utilizing proven techniques to de-escalate situations and provide immediate care.
  • Participate in community outreach and educational programs to promote mental health awareness, specifically aiming to reduce stigma associated with seeking help.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a mental health therapist at Sharp Wellness Clinic, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals in hospice care. Our focus is on providing compassionate care to individuals facing significant mental health challenges, ensuring that all clients feel seen and heard regardless of their background or circumstance.

Qualifications
  • A valid and active license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) is required.
  • A completed master's degree or a doctor’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology is essential.
  • Exceptional communication skills are a must, allowing you to build therapeutic relationships and rapport with clients from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Cultural competence and sensitivity are vital for effectively engaging with our multifaceted clientele.

Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in hospice or end-of-life care settings will be considered a significant advantage.
