Job Title: Patient Care Coordinator

Pay Rate:
$19.00/hr
Work Location: WellMed at Medical District, 1412 May Street, Fort Worth, TX 76104
Contract: 05/04/2026 to 06/30/2026
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Interview Process: Face-to-face interview

Position Overview

The Patient Care Coordinator serves as a key point of contact for patients and supports daily front office operations within a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role is primarily responsible for handling inbound patient calls, documenting detailed patient information in the medical record, and routing messages appropriately to clinical staff. Additional responsibilities include appointment scheduling, insurance verification, chart preparation, and patient appointment confirmation calls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer high-volume inbound patient calls professionally and efficiently
  • Document detailed and accurate notes within the medical record system
  • Route patient messages and documentation to the appropriate clinical staff
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments
  • Verify insurance information and patient demographics
  • Prepare patient charts prior to appointments
  • Provide excellent customer service while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality
  • Support front office operations and assist with administrative tasks as needed
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Previous healthcare, medical office, or patient scheduling experience preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comfortable handling inbound calls and electronic medical records documentation
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
