Summary
The Pricing Analyst is responsible for analyzing competitor pricing matched with market expectations to determine the ideal target price for products of the business. The Pricing Analyst will take part in providing thorough analytical breakdowns of pricing structures and sales funnels of similar competitor products and services and identifying specific strategies used in pricing models of the same.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Take responsibility for all quantitative elements of a prospective opportunity, working in a team environment with the Pricing Manager, Pricing Analysts, Sales, and the RFP Team members.
  • Perform client-specific data modeling, analysis, and outcome measurement. Develop custom reports where required.
  • Seek to improve data collection, analysis and reporting process for key service metrics
  • Develop pricing for client renewals from P amp;L modeling to overseeing execution of client contract.
  • Provide financial support for prospective contract negotiations and respond to RFP financial requests.
  • Participate in ad-hoc department and company projects.
  • Work with Sales and Account Management in creating pricing and product positioning strategies.
  • Support functional amp; organizational initiatives as required.
Education and Experience
  • 1-3 Years of analytical experience required in work environment or college project work equivalent
  • Must possess a BS/BA in Finance, Statistics, Economics, Information Systems or other quantitative area
  • Experience within Healthcare of PBM Industry preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • High proficiency in Excel required (Detailed experience of all Lookup, and Logic formulas required)
  • Ability to analyze, and interpret data based on results
  • Skills in performing detailed and complex numerical computations and reports
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, including financial modeling
  • Must have advanced attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and deadline driven environment
  • Proficiency in SQL or Tableau preferred
Work Environment / Physical Demands
This position is in a typical office environment which requires prolonged sitting in front of a computer. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment including operation of standard computer and phone equipment. May have occasional high stress when dealing with customers/clients. Some travel may be required.
