Job description

Avenue Five Institute is an award-winning Beauty and Wellness school with two campuses in Austin, TX. We are currently seeking a student salon receptionists to support our growing population of talented cosmetology, esthetics, and massage therapy students. (www.avenuefive.edu)


The ideal candidate must have exceptional customer service, verbal communication and organizational skills, along with an inherent passion to educate and enrich the lives of others. Possible full-time and/or part-time positions with day and evening shifts.


The professionals we seek must have at least 2 years of continuous experience in a salon, spa, med spa, skincare clinic, or similar environment. 2+ years experience is strongly encouraged. The position of Front Desk Associate includes the following responsibilities:


-Greeting each and every guest with a smile


-Helping support students by modeling "best customer service" behavior


-Checking guests in and out of service


-Scheduling appointments


-Answering a multi-line phone system


-Handling cash transactions


-Organizing and maintaining a clean and orderly reception area


-Inventory management


-Salon or retail experience is strongly recommended


-Experience in Booker software preferred


More important than any of the above responsibilities is the ability to create a warm professional atmosphere by delivering the highest quality customer service.
