Job description

A Southland Holdings company is currently accepting resumes for an experiencedย Pipe Foremanย for our large heavy civil project located in Cape Coral, FL.
Responsibilities:
  • Foreman will be expected to run main line machine for the installation of a pipe.
  • Provide overall leadership and direct the activities of field crew employees. Work with field employees to increase productivity
  • Oversees, instructs, and participates in the installation and repair of water mains, fire hydrants, sanitary sewer lines, etc.
  • Perform any required testing for installed systems
  • Responsible for crew performance in meeting quality and safety standards
  • Fill out daily reports including crew memberโ€™s hours , equipment hours, appropriate cost codes, and production quantities
  • Communicate effectively with Project Superintendent and Project Managers
  • Participate in safety-related training programs to increase skill set and knowledge base.
  • Perform jobsite quality control checks.
Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of Water & Sewer Utility experience
  • At least 2 years of Utility Foreman experience
  • Experience in large diameter storm drains, water main, dewatering, well point system.
  • FDOT experience preferred but not required
  • Valid Driverโ€™s License
  • Extensive knowledge of the tools and equipment involved in utility work โ€“ such as excavators, trench boxes, pumps, backhoes, bobcats, loaders, etc.
  • Ability to understand and interpret construction drawings and specs
  • Ability to plan, organize, direct, and evaluate crew membersโ€™ work
Certifications:
  • OSHA Safety Course Certification (30 hour)
  • CPR Certification
