Job description

WHAT YOUโ€™LL BE DOING

The Welder is a key position at Jensen Infrastructure. This role applies appropriate welding processes to join, surface, fabricate, and repair metal parts and assemblies, as specified by work orders or production drawings.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, youโ€™ll primarily work with a small team of machine operators and welders.

A highlight of your day-to-day will include:

  • Fabricating metal parts and assemblies by cutting, burning, and welding various metals using welding machines, oxyacetylene torches, plasma cutters, and hand and power tools.
  • Operating cranes, forklifts, and other lifting equipment when certified.
  • Inspecting completed work to ensure conformance to specifications, including dimensional accuracy, squareness, and weld requirements.
  • Performing first-part approvals on new tasks to ensure quality standards are met.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Youโ€™re motivated, reliable, and take pride in doing quality work. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and bring hands-on welding experience along with a strong understanding of tools and precision measurement.

You donโ€™t take shortcutsโ€”especially when it comes to safety. You look out for yourself and your team, and you hold your work to a high standard.

Youโ€™re also able to read and interpret production drawings, set up welding equipment, and consistently monitor the quality of your work.

Most importantly, youโ€™re not just looking for your next jobโ€”youโ€™re looking to build a career. You want to grow your skills and be part of a company that invests in its people. At Jensen, everyone matters.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Welder
  • Forklift Certification
  • Some coursework after high school
  • 1โ€“2 years of welding experience
