Job description

The Machine Repair/Industrial Maintenance position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, machine breakdown repairs, installation and startups, process improvements, preventative maintenance programs and continuous machine improvements. This role will help increase machine reliability and help with the installation of facility capital investments. Responsible for, electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, plumbing, equipment rebuilding, and mechanical fabrication, reading electrical and mechanical prints, and setting up precision instrumentation.

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE: 

Electrical: Install and repair electrical systems, electric apparatus and components on industrial process machinery and equipment.

  1. Diagnose malfunctioning equipment such as transformers, motors, rectifiers, instrumentation, wiring, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
  2. Replace faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches and motors and positions sensing devices.
  3. Bend conduit; install new wiring for sensors, valves, actuators, and other electrical devices used for machine and process control.
  4. Fix machine controls using a PLC, servo, stepper, and basic relay logic controls.

Mechanical: Repair and maintain mechanical pneumatic and hydraulic components on production machines such as CNC mills, CNC lathes, material handling systems, automated assembly machines, and conveyor systems.

  1. Repair/replace damaged air, chemical, water and hydraulic hoses/pipes on machine and measures, cuts, threads and installs new hoses/pipe.
  2. Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment or other problems, replace as needed.
  3. Aligns and adjust components on machines to improve or correct machine functionality and part quality.
  4. Moves machinery and equipment, using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks
  5. Sets up and operates metalworking tools such as lathe, drill press or grinder to make or repair parts.
  6. Braze, weld, cut, solder and metalize as required to effect repairs

Test all repairs and installations for accurate functionality and proper performance. Record all work completed in the company asset tracking software, communicating issues, parts used and need to restock components to Maintenance Supervisor.

For this Role, You Will Need:

  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • 5+ years experience in industrial machine maintenance. 
  • Experience working with Mechanical, Pneumatic, and Hydraulic systems
  • Must have basic digital literacy and proficient using computer applications including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Must be organized and able to work with little supervision.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Legal Authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided for this role
