Job description

POSITION:                                                                WELDING TEACHER
                                                                                   HIGH SCHOOL

                                                                                   2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR

RESPONSIBILITIES:
                                                                                  *Classroom teacher assignment implemented per adopted
                                                                                    job description.
                                                                                  * Assist with student instruction in both the classroom and welding lab
                                                                                  * Guide and support student learning in a safe, structured environment
                                                                                  * Demonstrate welding, cutting, fitting, and fabrication techniques
                                                                                  * Prepare materials and projects for instruction
                                                                                  * Weld, fabricate, cut, and visually inspect welds on a variety of materials and
                                                                                    processes
                                                                                  * Work with mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
                                                                                  * Facilitate workshop sessions as needed
                                                                                  * Communicate clearly with students in both English and Spanish
                                                                                  * Enforce all shop and lab safety procedures
                                                                                  * Perform other duties as assigned












QUALIFICATIONS:
                                                                                 * Holds a New Jersey Instructional Welding (2543) Certification
                                                                                 * Strong knowledge of welding theory, welding code requirements, and certification
                                                                                    standards
                                                                                 * Demonstrated commitment to workplace and lab safety, including the ability to
                                                                                   follow and enforce safety protocols
                                                                                 * Ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds, skill levels, and
                                                                                   learning needs
                                                                                 * Completion of a background check will be required







PAY SCALE:                                                             $64,475.00 (BA/1) - $121,465.00 (MA+60/19)
