Job description

Position Summary:
While operating under limited Supervision, our Welders are required to set up and operate robotic welders, hand welding equipment, press brake, grinders, tube benders, lasers, and saws.
Essential Functions:
  1. Perform non-routine operations requiring judgment and analysis of multiple fabrication operations.
  2. May be involved in proto-type projects.
  3. May be required to inspect fabricated parts for other operators.
  4. May provide programming support to Engineering.
  5. Makes complex measurements and advanced shop math calculations.
  6. Work from blueprints or verbalized instructions.
  7. Checks height, depth, thickness and other measurements as required by process using micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, gauges and other measuring instruments.
  8. May participate in process development activities.
  9. May participate in basic new team member training.
  10. May rotate into other positions within the company as required to meet production requirements.
  11. Responsible for prompt and regular attendance as scheduled.
  12. Implements the Quality Policy and procedures in all aspects of daily duties and responsibilities.
  13. Participates in team problem solving and continuous improvement activities.
  14. Maintains a safe and clean work environment.

Required Education and/or Experience:
  1. High School Diploma or equivalent
  2. 2+ years of experience in Fabrication, hand welding MIG/TIG

Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:
  1. Must possess basic reading, writing and advanced math skills.
  2. Must be able to read and follow work instructions, blueprints and weld call-outs.
  3. Must possess good mechanical aptitude demonstrated in previous fabrication operations or like activities.
  4. Must be able to stand and perform repetitive motion activities for extended period of time.
  5. Must be able to work under limited supervision.
  6. Must be able to repetitively lift up to 60 lbs.
  7. Ability to work in fast-paced environment
  8. Ability to work collaboratively and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers.

Language Skills:
Ability to read, writes, verbalize and comprehend instructions and correspondence at the highest levels in the English language. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to customers, clients, and other team members. Conflict resolution skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and customer service skills.
Mathematical Skills:
Must have basic math skills equivalent to education requirement. Higher skills may be required depending on actual job duties.
Physical and Visual Activities:
Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, balancing, stooping, reaching, handling, talking, hearing, acuity far, acuity near, depth perception and field of vision.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is continuously standing, repetitively grasping and using fine manipulation with the hands. The team member may be frequently required to walk, squat, bend or twist as well as repetitively push or pull. The team member must be able to lift 50-70 lbs frequently.
