Location: Adkins, TX 78101
Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site
Schedule: Monday - Thursday | 7:00 AM - 5:45 PM
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Reports to: Production Supervisor / Area Lead
About Us
Top Metal Solutions is seeking skilled and motivated welders to join our growing fabrication team. This position is ideal for individuals with hands-on welding experience who are ready to continue developing their production and fabrication skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
As a Welder I, you will be responsible for performing GMAW welding and basic fabrication tasks while supporting production goals, quality standards, and daily shop operations. This role requires a higher level of independence, consistency, and production capability than entry-level welding positions.
We are looking for dependable welders who take pride in their work, maintain a strong work ethic, and are motivated to grow within the company.
Position Summary
The Welder I is responsible for performing production welding and basic fabrication work on metal components and assemblies. This position requires the ability to complete welding tasks with moderate supervision while maintaining quality and production expectations.
The ideal candidate has prior welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment and is capable of performing GMAW and FCAW-G welds in 1G and 2F positions, following prints, and safely operating shop equipment.
Responsibilities
  • Perform GMAW welding on metal components and fabricated assemblies
  • Assist with FCAW-G welding operations as needed
  • Read and follow work orders, shop drawings, and basic blueprints
  • Prepare materials and components for welding
  • Grind and finish welded parts as required
  • Assist with fitting and alignment of fabricated assemblies
  • Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely
  • Maintain quality standards and production efficiency
  • Perform visual inspection of welds and identify basic defects
  • Maintain clean and organized workstations
  • Follow company safety procedures and PPE requirements
  • Support production schedules and team objectives
Welding & Fabrication Skills
  • Ability to perform consistent GMAW welds in 1G and 2F positions
  • Basic FCAW-G welding experience in 1G and 2F positions preferred
  • Ability to weld in flat and horizontal positions
  • Basic understanding of weld penetration and weld quality
  • Ability to read tape measures and perform accurate measurements
  • Familiarity with fabrication tools and shop equipment
  • Basic blueprint reading skills preferred

  • GMAW welding machines
  • FCAW-G welding equipment
