Job description

Landmark has an opportunity for a Shop Helper to join our team. This position performs tasks related to fabricating steel plate safely, efficiently, and to Landmark's quality standards.

Essential Functions:

  • Accurately measure, mark & lay-out materials/parts using a tape measure along with other lay-out tools
  • Reliably listen & follow instructions
  • Safely and efficiently use a variety of hand and power tools including saws, sheers, punches, grinders, cutting torch, & handheld plasma torch
  • Safely and efficiently operate an overhead crane
  • General shop housekeeping; organization of raw & processed materials
  • Understands and practices the Landmark Safety Policy. Observes all safety practices and procedures.

Essential Functions:

  • Safely and efficiently operate a forklift or other heavy equipment

Equipment Operation:

  • Frequent use of various Power Tools
  • Frequent use of various Manual Tools
  • Potential rare use of Heavy Equipment

Experience Requirements:

  • 0-2 years of experience in a fabrication / steel fabrication or welding shop setting

Licenses, Certifications, Registrations:

  • Forklift certification a plus
