The Welcome Center Attendant is responsible for the professional and efficient management of the main lobby area. This includes greeting clients, visitors, members, and guests as they enter; answering the phones, properly relaying messages or transferring calls. Assist with visitor tours, membership enrollment, processing payments, upkeep of Health and Wellness areas and general office maintenance. The available shifts are 7:30 am - 7:30 pm, Monday - Friday and 8:30 am - 4 pm Saturday..

JOB TITLE: Welcome Center Attendant
DIVISION: KINGSLEY ASSOCIATION

SHIFT: Variable schedule with expectations to work Monday - Thursday 2:00p - 7:00p, Friday 2:00p - 6:00p and Saturday 9:00a - 4:00p
JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Welcome Center Attendant is responsible for the professional and efficient management of the main lobby area. This includes greeting clients, visitors, members, and guests as they enter; answering the phones, properly relaying messages or transferring calls. Assist with visitor tours, membership enrollment, processing payments, upkeep of Health and Wellness areas and general office maintenance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Interacts and communicates with the public and other employees in a courteous and professional manner
• Answers a multi-line phone system, obtains and delivers messages to the appropriate staff in a timely manner
• Electronically process receipts of cash, checks, and credit card transactions in accordance with established policy and procedures
• Assist with visitor tours of the wellness center
• Set up and break down meeting/event space as needed or requested
• Check membership identification cards in the barcode system
• Maintain membership filing system
• Update program schedule quarterly or as directed by the supervisor
• Copy, stock, and update office forms as needed
• Sort incoming mail when needed
• Utilize copier and postage machinery as needed
• Have knowledge of all computer programs
• Maintain a safe, clean workplace
• Wipe down and maintain a clean fitness center.
• Minor bathroom/locker room maintenance, including water cleanup
• Clean up equipment and garbage from the gym, dust mop on downtime
• Walk through Health and Wellness spaces (including 3rd floor) at closing
• Complete the closing checklist
• Manage member communication for locker items that have been left overnight
• Manage donation center items
• Maintain outdoor space if schedule permits
• Check Microsoft Teams and Outlook frequently during shift
• Perform other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, be flexible, organized, and able to effectively prioritize work tasks
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Must be detail-oriented
• Skilled in the use of all Microsoft Office products
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS:
• High School Diploma preferred
• 2-3 years of customer service experience preferred
• Current Act 33/34 and FBI clearances

• Reports to: Welcome Center Supervisor
• Direct reports: None
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Indoor/Outdoor
• Frequently required to work at a fast pace
• Evening and weekend work required
