We are recruiting for a Full-Time and Part-Time Certified Recreation Therapy Specialist and/or Child Life Specialist to join our skilled team of pediatric professionals in Marlton, NJ. This position is benefit eligible.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialistis an integral member of the Interdisciplinary Team, responsible for theassessment of play, recreation, leisure skills, and psychosocial adjustment tohospitalization, to facilitate therapy, leisure education, and recreationparticipation for the pediatric (re)habilitation of children ages birth to 20years of age. The CTRS is responsible for adherence to the scope and standardsof practice as defined by the American Therapeutic Recreation Association. TheCTRS demonstrates professional judgment, uses problem solving techniques andtime-management principles to achieve quality outcomes for each patient. They participate in patient and family teachingand work collaboratively with other disciplines on the interdisciplinary teamto maintain optimal standards ofpatient care and assure carryover of treatment plans/goals as indicated. #W1
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation
  • Certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist by NCTRC required
  • Dual-certified as Child Life Specialist preferred
  • CPR/BLS Certification
  • Experience working with children with disabilities or chronic illness
  • Ability to supervise groups of infants, children, and adolescents with disabilities in a safe manner
  • Pediatric experience in medical settings preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well as a team member
  • Weekend availability required
