Job description

North Alabama Shoals Hospital, a 178-bed facility located in Muscle Shoals, AL (60 mi from Huntsville) is seeking a BC/BE Rheumatologist for a full-time position to join a hospital-employed group. New graduates welcome to apply.

Located 1 hour west of Huntsville International Airport, the Shoals is a beautiful riverfront community with excellent public and private school options, low crime rate, and affordable cost of living.  

Position Details:

• Work schedule Mon-Thurs 7:30am-5pm

• 25-30 patients per day

• Clinic call is telephone only

• Clinic is conveniently located on hospital campus

About the Hospital:  Shoals Hospital was founded in 1968 by a group of physicians dedicated to serving residents of Colbert County. Today, the 178-bed, general acute care facility boasts spacious, private rooms for all patients as well as a 24-hour emergency department; medical and oncology services; medical/surgical inpatient units; and intensive care and short-stay surgery units. Shoals Hospital also operates the region’s only in-patient acute rehabilitation facility, the J. W. Sommer Rehabilitation Unit and the Shoals Senior Care Center, the area’s only psychiatric unit 30 beds dedicated to our senior adults.
