Job description

Project Engineer Low Voltage Wiring Harness Job Responsibilities:
  • Design and release prototype low voltage wiring harness layouts, including cutsheets, 3D/2D drawings, and schematics.

  • Develop CAN and LIN wiring for module integration, BOMs, connector pinout sheets, and napkin diagrams to support builds.

  • Lead design changes, collaborate with Build Engineers, resolve issues, debug, and implement countermeasures with clear procedures.

  • Generate 3D CAD models and 2D drawings of harnesses with detailed clipping points, splice locations, and branch takeouts.

  • Provide step-by-step instructions for Make on Vehicle design changes and oversee harness modifications and installation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or a related field.

  • 6+ months of experience as a Project Engineer, System Engineer, Design Engineer, Weight Engineer, or Consultant.

  • Strong expertise in low voltage wiring harness design and automotive electrical systems.

  • Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and 2D technical drawings.

  • Knowledge of CAN and LIN communication protocols for module integration.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve design issues efficiently.

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work with Build Engineers and stakeholders.
