Job description

Data Entry Specialist – Maintenance Systems Project

Project Duration: 4 Weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $23.00–$25.00 per hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist to support a 4-week project with the Maintenance Team at a manufacturing facility. This position will play an important role in transitioning maintenance records and documentation from existing Microsoft Word and Excel files into a new maintenance management software system.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working with large amounts of information, and able to maintain a high level of accuracy while performing repetitive data-entry tasks. Success in this role will require strong attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to meet project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transfer maintenance records, equipment information, and related documentation from Microsoft Word and Excel into the new software system.
  • Accurately enter information using copy/paste, manual entry, and other available data-entry methods.
  • Review entered information to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Identify, research, and correct data errors, discrepancies, or missing information.
  • Follow established procedures and formatting standards throughout the data migration process.
  • Maintain organized records and protect confidential company and maintenance information.
  • Track progress and communicate any issues, missing information, or data discrepancies to the Maintenance Team.
  • Work collaboratively with Maintenance personnel to ensure project requirements and deadlines are met.
  • Maintain consistent productivity and accuracy throughout the duration of the project.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to perform repetitive data-entry tasks while maintaining focus and productivity.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to identify inconsistencies and resolve or escalate issues appropriately.
  • Ability to work independently while also communicating effectively with a team.
  • Prior experience in data entry, administrative support, records management, or a similar role preferred.
  • Ability to work comfortably in a manufacturing facility environment.
  • Reliable attendance and ability to commit to the full 4-week project.
