Job Summary
We are seeking a positive, friendly Front Desk Agent to provide exceptional service to our hotel guests. The Front Desk Agent will assist guests with the check-in and check-out processes, issue room keys, and process payments. Responsibilities also include maintaining communication with housekeeping staff to coordinate room availability, answering guest inquiries, and completing paperwork promptly and accurately. The Front Desk Agent must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to stay positive even when faced with challenging situations. Your goal is to provide guests with an exceptional customer service experience.  
*This position is for the afternoon shifts only.  We need someone who is available from 3 PM to midnight.  Shifts will include some weekends and holidays.   
Responsibilities
  • Be "guest ready" each day by having a friendly attitude and willingness to help 
  • Take reservations and answer questions via phone, email, and in-person
  • Collect and process payments and settle billing for all purchases and point of sale transactions 
  • Offer assistance and find solutions within reason to issues that may arise to ensure a pleasant stay for our guests
  • Build rapport with guests and identify their needs through friendly conversation and open-ended questions
  • Describe the features and amenities of guest rooms
  • Be knowledgeable of the local area and make restaurant and entertainment suggestions when requested by guests
  • Ask for company names from guests to help sales team obtain new business
  • Take initiative to communicate with and assist your coworkers and other departments as needed
  • Maintain the lobby area, and stock and clean the coffee station, market area, and other supplies
  • Ensure first floor public areas are presentable in absence of housekeeping
  • Act as a Manager on Duty when working alone
  • Ensure compliance with health and quality standards
