Job description

As an Automotive & Transmission Technician, you will be working in a total car care repair center, with jobs ranging from standard maintenance to transmission, electrical diagnostics and everything in between. This position will be responsible for explaining technical diagnoses and needed repairs to service staff and team members.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

· Inspect, diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems- engines, transmissions, drivetrain, brake, hydraulic, exhaust, steering, suspension, alignment, fuel ignition, electrical, air conditioning and computer systems

· Ability to accurately diagnose transmission problems, TCM, PCM, solenoids and electrical issues

· Assist other technicians in performing technical activities

· Explain problems discovered during vehicle inspection to service writers and technicians

· Continuously learn new technical information, equipment, tools and repair techniques

· Professionally record findings so that repairs costs are accurately estimated

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Hold a valid driver’s license (required)

· Own professional grade tools to service any general repair need

· Ability to multi-task and excel in a fast-paced environment

· Ability to work with others as a team and independently

· Good communication skills including written and oral

· Must be punctual and bring a positive attitude to work every day

· Safe working knowledge of shop tools and equipment such as scanners, electrical diagnostic equipment, AC recovery equipment, fluid exchange equipment, lift operation, alignment equipment, etc.
