About the role:

  • The Seasonal Night & Weekend Traffic Safety Technician (TST) supports roadway and construction projects by providing professional traffic control services. This position focuses on out-of-town night and weekend assignments from now through the summer.

    Paid travel time
    Per diem provided for out-of-town work
    Flexible scheduling around daytime jobs
    FREE flagger certification during the month of May

Job Description
  • Perform traffic control and flagging duties on job sites and public/private roadways
  • Use hand signals and traffic control devices to safely direct traffic
  • Communicate with other Flaggers/TSTs via hand-held radios to manage two-way traffic
  • Inform construction crews of traffic-related safety concerns
  • Set up and remove warning signs, barricades, cones, and detours
  • Maintain a safe, professional work zone at all times
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Ability to follow directions and safety procedures
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing assignments
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and travel out of town
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in active traffic environments
  • Valid state flagging certification preferred
    • Company-provided flagger certification available — FREE during May
  • Reliable transportation
