We are hiring Respiratory Therapists for our Weekend Incentive Program to work 24 hours and get paid for 36 hours!  Limited positions available!

Schedule: 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am

Position Description

The Respiratory Therapist will assist, treat & care for residents with breathing disorders. Assume primary responsibility for all respiratory modalities in accordance with current facility, federal, state and local standards, guidelines & regulations. We’re excited for you to come and join our accomplished staff of medical professionals!

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide respiratory treatment to residents requiring some form of breathing therapy, exercise, and or administering therapeutic medication on a regular basis.
  • Determine requirements for treatment, such as type, method & duration of therapy, precautions to be taken & medication dosages, in accordance with physician orders.
  • Ensure quality respiratory services provided are in accordance with physician orders & facility policies.
  • Make assessments and provide care to residents requiring mechanical ventilator support, i.e. making regular rounds on ventilator residents, monitoring conditions and conducting routine mechanical safety checks of the ventilators.
  • Evaluate, operate and maintain various diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory equipment to include ABG, oximeter, and portable spirometer.
  • Graduate of a CoArc approved school of respiratory therapy.
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner license required, with a minimum CRT, RRT licensure/certification preferred.
  • Working knowledge of respiratory equipment needed to operate, maintain & conduct routine troubleshooting on various types of equipment with emphasis on mechanical ventilators, tracheostomy care & various O2 delivery devices.
