Job description

Joining Collibra's Education team

You will join the Education team within our Professional Services organization, reporting directly to our Director of Education. Our mission is to empower and inspire Data Citizens by delivering seamless learning experiences that drive long-term customer success. As our Learning Systems Engineer, you are the bridge between education and innovation, tasked with optimizing our platforms to ensure our global users can navigate their Data Intelligence journey without friction.

In this role, you'll embody our value "Our customers are our true north" by using your technical expertise in APIs and automation to remove learning barriers. Every workflow you build and every system optimization you implement is designed with one goal: ensuring our customers have the most efficient, intuitive path to mastering Collibra.

This is a hybrid role based in our Raleigh office. Our hybrid model means you'll work from the office at least two days each week. This setup helps us stay connected, work more closely together, and keep making progress as a team.

Learning Systems Engineers at Collibra are responsible for
  • Manage and optimize our external-facing Learning Management System (LMS) and connected integrations in order to deliver a seamless, high-performance user experience for our global customers.
  • Architect and monitor the education data pipeline from the LMS to our data lake in order to ensure high-quality metadata extraction and reporting accuracy for stakeholders.
  • Automate core learning operations, including badge issuance and certification enrollments, in order to scale program delivery and reduce manual intervention for the Education team.
  • Implement AI-driven solutions and advanced workflows in order to provide deeper customer insights and personalize the learner journey at scale.
  • Analyze and resolve complex technical support tickets in order to identify root causes and proactively improve platform stability and user satisfaction.
You have
  • 3+ years of experience managing and optimizing enterprise LMS platforms (direct experience with Docebo is a significant plus).
  • Proven technical proficiency with REST APIs or Python for systems integration and task automation.
  • Hands-on experience building automated workflows using middleware tools such as Zapier or Workato.
  • Demonstrated experience managing learning data pipelines, including data extraction, metadata mapping, and analytics reporting.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Educational Technology, or equivalent professional work experience.
  • This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
You are
  • A methodical problem-solver who analyzes complex technical issues with an investigative mindset to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
  • A clear and patient communicator who applies a high degree of empathy when translating technical system logic into understandable guidance for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • An innovation-driven technologist who possesses an insatiable curiosity for emerging tools, specifically in how AI and LLMs can be applied to revolutionize traditional learning operations.
  • A detail-oriented data steward who maintains meticulous standards when auditing data pipelines and system metadata to ensure reporting remains the "true north" for the organization.
  • An agile collaborator who demonstrates a proactive and iterative approach to process improvement, balancing developer-level logic with the mission of an educator.
Measures of success
  • Within your first month, you will be onboard into the Docebo LMS, master the data pipeline, and take ownership of technical support tickets to identify and resolve common user pain points.
  • Within your third month, you will drive operational efficiency by implementing automations, auditing data for reporting accuracy, and collaborating with the Data and Automation teams to align on learning processes
  • Within your sixth month, you will scale the platform's architecture and pilot AI-driven enhancements to improve the learner experience while delivering measurable improvements in system performance and support efficiency.
