Food Service Worker II

Location: Durham, NC

Position Summary

Grace Federal Solutions, LLC is seeking dependable, customer-focused Food Service Workers II to support daily food service operations in a fast-paced dining environment. This position plays an important role in delivering quality food service by assisting with meal preparation, serving customers, maintaining clean work areas, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards.

Working as part of a collaborative team, you will help provide an exceptional dining experience while supporting the daily operations of the food service department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve food to customers on assigned serving lines.
  • Assist with setting up food stations and preparing service areas at the beginning of each shift.
  • Support full-time food service staff during busy meal periods.
  • Restock food items, utensils, and supplies as needed throughout service.
  • Clean and sanitize food preparation areas, serving stations, equipment, and dining areas.
  • Break down and clean workstations at the conclusion of each shift.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, infection control, and workplace safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
  • Provide courteous and professional customer service to guests, employees, and visitors.
  • Perform other food service duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Partial high school education or equivalent required.
  • Previous food service, cafeteria, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and food safety.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks.
  • Ability to work assigned shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight hours as needed.

To maintain a professional appearance and comply with food safety standards, all employees are required to follow the dress code below:

  • No jewelry except a wedding band
  • No facial jewelry, including nose, eyebrow, or lip piercings (employees not meeting this requirement may be sent home)
  • Aprons and hairnets will be provided when required
  • Nail extensions are not permitted while on duty
