The Opportunity

Theposition ofWarehouse Workeriswithinthe warehouse facility of our Toxicology division, located inPortsmouth, VA.

In this role, you would be responsible for thesafe, accurate, and efficientpackagingoperation of Toxicology PRTwarehousestandards andinventory. The main objective is to lower operating costs through effectively utilizing theERPduring the itempickingprocess, increaseproductivityby following working instructions, zeropickingerrors, and communicate.

Shift:

Monday - Friday

8:00 am - 4:30 pm

What You'll Work On

  • Accurately pick items by Lot # and expiration date as directed bythe pickingsheets.

  • Use a company-issued stamp afterpicking.

  • Read and understand all notes onpickingsheets.

  • Assist team members withpicking, staging, loading, unloading, rotation, and storage of products.

  • Operate a manual rolling cart to move products throughout the warehouse.

  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness by sweeping floors, wipingspills, and organizing products.

  • Follow and abide by all company safety rules.

  • Record all damage per company policy and handle damage/dents as they occur.

  • Ensure proper handling ofpickingsheets and place them on the correct cartons.

  • Keep the floor space clean whilepicking.

  • Conduct daily housekeeping assignments as directed bywarehouse management.

  • Help prepare for end-of-year physical inventory.

  • Identify inefficiencies inwarehouse operationsand make recommendations.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic math skills and the ability to read labels/pick sheets.

  • Ability to follow work instructions and communicate discrepancies.

  • Forklift certificationor willingness to become certified (company-provided).

  • Proficiency in operating a rolling pushcart, electric forklift, and manualpallet jack.
