Location: North Chesterfield, VA
Pay: $18–$19/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Perm
Schedule Note: Some flexibility may be available for an 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM schedule.

Qualified Staffing is hiring an experienced Warehouse Associate for a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity in North Chesterfield, VA. This is an active, hands-on warehouse position supporting a busy distribution operation. The Warehouse Associate will receive and put away incoming materials, pull outbound orders, organize inventory, and operate multiple types of powered equipment. Candidates should be comfortable spending most of the day on their feet and regularly handling materials weighing up to 40 pounds.
What You'll Do
  • Receive, verify, stage, and stock incoming materials throughout the warehouse.
  • Put away loose fittings, bags, boxes, and other products in designated shelving and storage locations.
  • Pull and prepare customer orders accurately for outbound shipment.
  • Read and follow work orders, pick tickets, product numbers, and warehouse documentation.
  • Operate sit-down forklifts, stand-up forklifts, and order pickers safely and efficiently.
  • Use an order picker to retrieve and stock products at heights of up to approximately 20 feet.
  • Load, unload, move, and organize materials throughout the facility.
  • Verify products and quantities to help maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Assist with shipping, receiving, inventory, returns, and general warehouse functions as needed.
  • Stage completed orders for shipment or delivery.
  • Identify damaged, missing, or incorrectly stocked materials and report discrepancies.
  • Maintain clean, organized, secure, and safe warehouse areas.
  • Follow all established equipment, warehouse, and workplace safety procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with warehouse, receiving, shipping, and distribution team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
  • At least 1 year of warehouse or distribution experience required.
  • At least 1 year of sit-down and stand-up forklift/order picker experience required.
  • Previous experience operating an order picker at heights is strongly preferred.
  • Shipping, receiving, inventory, order picking, or material-handling experience preferred.
  • Experience in wholesale distribution, building materials, plumbing supplies, home improvement products, or a similar environment is a plus.
  • Ability to read and understand work orders and warehouse documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail when picking, receiving, and stocking materials.
  • Ability to learn product numbers, locations, and inventory procedures.
  • Dependable attendance and a consistent employment history are strongly preferred.
  • Safety-focused with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
  • Ability to lift and handle up to 40 pounds.
  • Approximately 75% of the workday will be spent standing, walking, or actively handling materials.
  • Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, pulling, lifting, and carrying.
  • Must be comfortable operating warehouse equipment at heights of up to approximately 20 feet.
  • This is a physical warehouse position requiring consistent activity throughout the shift.
  • Warehouse is not climate controlled and can become hot during the summer months.
