Upstate Veterinary Specialties is seeking a skilled and motivated Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our Radiology Department. If you thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and are passionate about advanced diagnostic imaging and patient care, this is your opportunity to grow and excel.
What You’ll Do:- Perform digital radiography, CT imaging, and assist with advanced imaging modalities including MR and fluoroscopy
- Provide high-quality patient care utilizing advanced technician skills
- Follow sedation and restraint protocols for diagnostic imaging procedures
- Communicate with contracted radiologists for stat image interpretation
- Assist with troubleshooting imaging equipment and PACS systems
- Perform daily quality assurance testing for radiology equipment
- Collaborate with doctors and medical staff to improve workflow and efficiency
- Educate staff on radiology safety and reducing unnecessary exposure
- Support quality control initiatives and staff training efforts
- Coordinate patient care with specialty and emergency departments
- Participate in on-call radiology coverage at least one weekend per month
What We’re Looking For:- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in New York State
- Associate degree in Veterinary Technology or equivalent
- Advanced experience with diagnostic imaging, including CT and MR preferred
- Knowledge of radiology equipment and maintenance
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Positive attitude with excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced specialty environment
